Sunday May 20, 2012 Ascension Sunday
"What Goes Up, Must Come Down"
Acts 1:15-17 and Luke 24:44-53
For Ascension Sunday Pastor Todd Scranton will speak about the challenges the disciples faced after Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven following His resurrection. He promised good things in the future, but they wondered what to do in the meantime? One task was to replace Judas so they rolled dice to decide who would be the 12th disciple. In what ways might God be challenging us to roll the dice? Be sure to join us this Sunday and hear Pastor Todd's message!.
Our 9:00 am service is the more traditional of our two services with the music predominantly from the hymnal. Our 10:30 am service has more contemporary music led by our Praise Team. Though the music and worship styles are different in the two services, the message will be the same. We invite you to come and worship with us at either service - and plan on having a cup of coffee or juice in between the services at 10 am!
On Sunday, May 27, we will change to our summer worship schedule with one service at 10:30 am.

Our college ministry group is back from their Spring Break mission trip! Pastor Alissa Bertsch-Johnson tells us that the group's trip to South Central Los Angeles was challenging and transformative. They will be scheduling a "shareholder's meeting" to make a report back to those who bought "stock" and invested in the mission trip. Didn't get a chance to buy "stock" and want to contribute to the expenses of the mission trip? Please do! There is still a gap between the trip's expenses and the amount of funds that have been raised. Click here to learn more about the mission trip and how you can buy "stock" in this mission trip!
Thanks to all who attended the Wesley Foundation Fundraising Dinner in support of our college student ministry. We are fortunate to have Pastor Alissa leading our outreach to the WSU campus. The programs she leads are transformative for those students and young adults who are participating. Be a part of this exciting work in Christ's name. Donations and pledges are still being accepted in the church office at any time.
